Nick Blanchard, wearing a red MAGA hat and a shirt calling for the firing of Governor Janet Mills, stepped up to the mic during a local school board meeting to speak out against transgender athletes competing in girls’ sports. But before he could finish, School Board Chair Martha Witham cut him off, saying his remarks were “negative and defamatory.”
“I’m going to stop you right there,” Witham told Blanchard. “You’re being negative and defamatory.”
Negative? Defamatory? Or just inconvenient for the agenda? I’m not sure what Little Miss Martha was listening to, but that gentleman didn’t say a single thing that was defamatory — and nothing he said was even remotely negative. He stated facts. Calmly. Respectfully. If that kind of level-headed truth-telling is now considered “defamatory,” then we’re in deeper trouble than we thought.
School Board Madness
Blanchard wasn’t shouting. He wasn’t attacking anyone personally. He was supporting a motion to bring back a 2020 interpretation of Title IX — an interpretation that President Trump recently reinforced through executive action.

How does a parent show up to a public school board meeting — expecting to be heard — and get silenced like that? These people have steamrolled right past their authority and are running wild with unchecked power. I think Mr. Blanchard has a great case to sue the school board for not allowing him to exercise his First Amendment.
We thought this madness would start to unravel after the overwhelming vote to bring Donald Trump back into office. But from where I’m standing — watching, reading, and listening — it’s clear: the same radical, overzealous, child-indoctrinating liberals are still embedded in the system, doing what they’ve always done.
They’re not backing down. And yes, they’re still peddling the same gender-bending, reality-denying, anti-science nonsense — and they expect your kids to swallow it whole.

Of course, this all ties back to Trump’s new executive order, “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” which directs the federal government to withhold education funding from any school that violates traditional Title IX interpretations.
In response, states like Maine — with Democrat governors and progressive school boards — have essentially dared the federal government to come after them. And now, the feds have. The Trump administration referred Maine to the DOJ for potentially violating federal law.
