Symone Sanders Thinks Black Americans Are Next to Be Deported

Symone Sanders is once again fanning the flames of fear, claiming Black Americans could be “next” to be deported under Trump. Backed by Rep. Glenn Ivey and an op-ed from The Nation, her narrative is pure race-baiting with no basis in fact.

Good morning and a glorious Easter to you and your family. Once you’ve wrapped up your Sunday Morning Café—Easter edition—we’ve got a fresh serving of leftist faux outrage waiting for you.

Recycled Outrage Politics on a Loop

The Joy Reid replacement took to her MSNBC pulpit this week to drop one of the most outrageous bits of race-baiting we’ve heard in a while—and that’s saying something. According to her, Black Americans are “next in line” to be deported under Trump. Yes, really. Not criminals. Not foreign nationals. Just… Black people. And right on cue, Rep. Glenn Ivey jumped on board with this nonsense, warning about the threat to “Americans of color.”

Trump recently floated the idea of sending violent, homegrown criminals to foreign prisons like El Salvador’s CECOT. It wasn’t about race—it was about cracking down on crime. But the left, as usual, twisted it into something it wasn’t.

To back up her panic, Sanders referenced an op-ed by Janai Nelson of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, published in The Nation, saying, “We’ve been talking about this all week.” As if Nelson’s opinion piece somehow transformed Trump’s comments into a plan to start deporting Black citizens. It didn’t. But when you’re grasping for outrage, a hot take will do.

You almost miss Joy Reid—almost.

Diverse Congressman Rep. Glenn Ivey (D-Md.) goes on to concur with Sanders’ apocalyptic warning, adding that “that’s certainly part of why the African-American community is so behind” trying to bring the “Maryland father”/alleged MS-13 gang member back to the United States, clearly insinuating that the Trump administration is going to specifically target blacks in its next roundup.

Absolutely at no point did Trump, obviously, declare his intention to begin deporting minorities on racial grounds.

What he did say — and, for the record, I don’t agree with trying to deport American citizens convicted of crimes — is that he would look into deporting “homegrown” criminals here, the meaning of which is not entirely clear. “The homegrowns are next, the homegrowns. You’ve got to build about five more places,” he told El Salvador president Nayib Bukele last week in reference to the prisons that currently house deported illegal aliens. – PJ Media

Trump never said “let’s round up Black Americans.” He said he wants the government to look into housing America’s most violent offenders in facilities like CECOT—if it’s found to be legal. That’s a key point. It’s not about race. It’s about stopping predators. But when you’re desperate to paint Trump as a fascist boogeyman, you toss truth aside and grab the nearest emotional panic button.

Let’s clear something up: you can’t deport U.S. citizens. It’s unconstitutional. Every legal expert out there has said the same. So unless Symone Sanders has stumbled across a secret executive order the rest of us missed, what she’s doing is nothing but fear-mongering to keep the victim narrative alive—because that’s all she’s got.

Real Concern Here

Now, even some on the right aren’t too sure about Trump’s idea. And fair enough—shipping American citizens off to foreign prisons? That’s not something we’ve ever done. Plus, do we really want to trust other countries to handle our criminals? Who’s watching? Who’s in charge? It might sound bold, and it definitely speaks to how fed up people are with crime, but let’s not pretend it doesn’t open a big ol’ can of legal and moral mess.

Democrats have no message, no solutions, and nobody waiting in the wings to lead. So they go back to what they always do—scare their base with made-up threats and race-driven drama. That’s the playbook. Fear, distraction, rinse, repeat.

Spin Harder

The left is twisting Trump’s words on purpose. He brought up sending violent homegrown criminals to foreign prisons—not deporting everyday Americans, and certainly not targeting people based on race. But that doesn’t stop folks like Symone Sanders from spinning it into some dystopian race-based roundup. It’s dishonest, it’s desperate, and it’s exactly what they do when they’ve run out of ideas.

The race card isn’t just old—it’s worn down to the nub. But the left keeps slapping it on the table because it’s the only play they’ve got. They need division. They need outrage. Without it, they’d have to talk about the border, the economy, crime—actual issues they’ve wrecked. So they manufacture panic, scream “racism,” and hope it drowns out the silence where their agenda should be. It’s not strategy—it’s survival.

Donald Trump might be the most think-out-loud president in American history. It’s like every idea that pops into his head gets an instant press release. Who needs leaks when the man live-streams his thoughts in real time?
