It’s about time somebody took the halftime show back.
For years, the NFL has treated that stage like a sermon for whatever pop star wants to lecture America next. The lights flash, the lyrics get filthier, and somewhere in the middle of all the smoke and sequins, patriotism goes missing.

Now Turning Point USA is stepping in with “The All-American Halftime Show” — a clean, proud, flag-waving alternative to the NFL’s 2026 pick: Bad Bunny.
Yes, that Bad Bunny. The guy who called ICE agents “sons of bitches” and recorded immigration raids like a one-man protest movement. The guy who refused to schedule U.S. concert dates because he didn’t trust federal agents not to detain his fans. And somehow, this is who the NFL thought would best represent America’s biggest sporting event.
Who Picked Him? Follow the Money (and the Politics)
If you’re wondering who came up with this inspired idea — it wasn’t the fans.
Turning Point USA, the conservative politics non-profit co-founded by the late Charlie Kirk, announced it will be offering a separate Super Bowl LX halftime show next year.
“The All American Halftime Show” will be an alternate to the regular halftime show that will be performed by three-time Grammy Award winner Bad Bunny on Feb. 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
The Puerto Rican superstar, who has emerged as one of the most popular recording artists since he debuted in 2016, hasn’t been well received by some NFL fans.
As a result, Turning Point USA is putting together a group of musical artists to perform, though the acts will be announced at a later date. – New York Post
Who Picked Him? Follow the Money (and the Politics)
The halftime show is officially produced by Ricky Kirshner, a veteran event producer who’s been behind it since 2007. But the real artistic control sits with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, which the NFL brought on in 2019 as its “music entertainment partner.” Translation: they decide who sings.
In plain English, Jay-Z has the final say. Producers have openly said, “It’s a decision that Jay makes.”
So, to no one’s surprise, the same entertainment machine that lectures America on race and politics from every awards stage decided to pick a performer who’s made a career out of bashing U.S. institutions. The NFL just rubber-stamped it.
This isn’t about music anymore. It’s about messaging — and the message is clear: patriotism is out, politics are in.
Why the Bad Bunny Pick Rubs People Wrong
Let’s break this down. Bad Bunny has built his image on activism and attitude, the kind that divides instead of unites. His music might sell, but his message sure doesn’t.
He’s filmed ICE agents in Puerto Rico and blasted them online, calling them motherf—kers for enforcing immigration laws. He’s skipped U.S. shows because he said he didn’t want his fans to be “caught up in ICE raids.” And according to reports, he even sat down during “God Bless America” at a Yankee Stadium game.
Now he’s headlining the Super Bowl, the same event that wraps itself in the flag, honors the troops, and sings the national anthem with fighter jets overhead. You can see why folks are a little fed up.
The backlash came fast. Trump supporters, veterans, and even average fans are questioning how a man who seems embarrassed by America landed its biggest stage. Others, including stars like Jennifer Lopez, are telling critics to give him a chance. Sure, Jen. Maybe next year we can “give communism a chance,” too.
Turning Point’s Move Is Genius
So while the NFL plays cultural referee, Turning Point USA saw an opportunity — and ran with it. Their upcoming All-American Halftime Show will air as a patriotic counter-programming event during the game. No activist rants. No anti-ICE tantrums. Just music that actually celebrates the country hosting it.
They haven’t announced the lineup yet, but it hardly matters. You could have a high school marching band and a barbershop quartet, and it would still be more American than whatever Jay-Z and the NFL are cooking up in California.
TPUSA’s move hits a nerve because it’s more than a concert. It’s a cultural correction. For years, conservatives have sat through halftime shows that make fun of their faith, their country, and their values. This time, they get a choice.
Watch a performer who trashes America or tune in to one that honors it.
The Optics Don’t Lie
The Super Bowl used to be something we could all enjoy together: a little football, a few funny commercials, and maybe a decent performance in between. But lately, it’s become a mirror of everything wrong with pop culture: shallow, preachy, and completely disconnected from real Americans.
Roc Nation and the NFL can keep chasing “representation.” TPUSA’s show will represent something far more powerful — the America that still believes in hard work, faith, family, and freedom.
Come February, while Bad Bunny struts across Levi’s Stadium, Turning Point will be hosting a show for the rest of us. And for the first time in a long time, halftime might actually feel like America again.
