What’s Going On In Harris County, Texas?

He Survived the Taliban, But Not Harris County’s Justice System

Abdul Rahman Waziri survived war zones alongside U.S. Special Forces. He brought his wife and kids to Texas for a better life — and someone gunned him down over a parking space in Harris County.

The shooter? Reportedly admitted to the killing. Handed over the weapon. And walked away without so much as a charge.

Yes, you read that right.

An Afghan refugee who courageously aided US Special Forces before fleeing his home country was shot dead over a parking spot in Texas.

Abdul Rahman Waziri, 31, was killed in his west Houston apartment building’s parking lot during a fight on April 27 at about 9:15pm, the Houston Police Department (HPD) said in a statement.

Conflict arose when Waziri pulled into the lot to check his mailbox and the alleged aggressor took issue with where he stopped his car, according to Waziri’s family’s lawyer, Omar Khawaja.

Police said the alleged shooter approached them and admitted responsibility. He was questioned and his gun was taken away.

But after the HPD consulted with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, he was not immediately arrested or charged. Daily Mail

Justice for Some, Silence for Others: Harris County’s Two-Tier System on Full Display

With no charges filed, no mugshot released, and no justice in sight, the message is clear: accountability doesn’t live here.

Harris County DA Sean Teare, a Democrat raised by activist parents and proudly backed by the far-left, declined to press charges. No arrest. No public identification of the suspect. Just silence.

Soft on Crime

You’d think a self-proclaimed champion of the underdog would seek justice for a refugee who served this country. Instead, the system buries the victim and hands the killer the benefit of the doubt — just another round of the same soft-on-crime double standard.

Waziri had pulled up to check his mail at the complex’s mailboxes when the shooter, whose identity has not been released, became incensed about where Waziri had parked, according to local reports.

Witnesses said they saw the suspect vandalizing Waziri’s car, and then the fight broke out, Khawaja said.

After the fight ended, the shooter allegedly retrieved his gun and fatally shot Waziri several times, according to Khawaja and police.

“After the altercation is already over and Mr. Waziri is walking back to his car, the shooter grabs a gun and murders him. He executes him in cold blood,” the lawyer told Eyewitness 13.

Police, who are reviewing surveillance footage of the incident, were called to the scene and discovered the father’s body with multiple gunshot wounds lying next to a white Toyota Camry.

The 31-year-old husband and father was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital, but was unable to be saved.

The gunman turned himself over to police and surrendered his gun. He was handcuffed by police who put “hand bags” on both hands to preserve forensic evidence after a shooting, according to footage taken by KPRC.

“As officers were investigating the shooting, they were approached by a male who stated he was the shooter and explained he and the deceased male were arguing over parking,” police said.

Meanwhile, Felonies Go Poof

I included the long quotes from two media sources to drive home just how absurd — and real — this is. This isn’t fiction. It’s happening. So where are the major networks? Why the silence?

The newly minted Democratic District Attorney of Harris County, Sean Teare — who took office on January 1, 2025 — didn’t waste time making headlines. One of his first big moves? Dropping four felony charges against Barbie Robinson, a former county health director accused of tampering with records and misusing government information tied to $40 million in taxpayer contracts. Former DA Kim Ogg filed those charges, but Teare’s office dismissed them as “insufficient.”

Kim Ogg called it what it looked like: a cover-up.

So let’s ask the obvious question: What the hell is happening in Harris County?

Why the Secrecy? Who Are They Protecting?

The suspect admitted to the shooting. Turned over the weapon. And yet — no name, no mugshot, no arrest. Why?

Authorities don’t hide a suspect’s identity this tightly without a reason — and that reason reeks of political inconvenience. Did a cop pull the trigger? Was the shooter an illegal immigrant or a person of color? We don’t know — and maybe they’re making sure we don’t find out.

But let’s be real: if Waziri had fired that gun, CNN would’ve plastered his face across every screen by sundown. The media would’ve had his entire life story on loop. This kind of selective silence doesn’t just happen — it sends a message. Someone’s protecting the shooter, and it sure as hell isn’t the man lying dead in the parking lot.

The public has every right to know who pulled the trigger and why prosecutors are pretending it didn’t happen. And the mainstream media? They’re dead silent — and that silence screams.

The alleged killer confessed to cops that he had shot the other man following an argument “over parking,” Houston police said.

This isn’t criminal justice.

It’s not reform — it’s abdication. Wanting a fair legal system is one thing; actively shielding killers and corrupt officials while tossing aside victims and taxpayers is another entirely.

A system that refuses to prosecute crime is no system at all — it’s a breeding ground for chaos.

And if the media won’t ask the hard questions, we will.

Call it out. Share it. Demand answers.
